How I am structuring my life.
I often feel overwhelmed by hobbies and things I want to do and achieve. To organise and make actionable progress on my hobbies I will lay them out. I find hobbies differ to actidata-export-vites as with activities I do for leisure, whereas hobbies I am trying to actively try and improve and achieve something. State what Level I am at and what I hope to achieve and how. Each visit of the hobby will be between 30 - 90 mins, as my other writing piece found this the optimal hobby time. Here's what I want to work on and my current status:
- Knitting - Social hobby - Clueless
- This website - My creative hobby - Intermediate
- Electronics -My mental hobby - Beginner
- Gym (handstands and muscle up) - Physical hobby - Advanced
I want to work on knitting 2x a week, This website 3x a week, Electronics 2x a week, Gym 4x a week.
That's roughly 11 hrs a week. So I pick 2 a day for weekdays(with gym also at weekends) . Leaving weekends empty for full leisure/ extra activities. Also gives enough week day buffer for incorporate daily habits such a s reading (fiction and articles), leetcode and cooking. Gym and knitting double as social hobbies quite easily too, the other 2 can as well but with more friction. I will not make a calendar for each day as I think it is energy level dependent, but having a list to chose from reduces my friction.
My goals at the end of 12 weeks I hope to achieve:
- knit a swatch, in progress or complete a sock
- Website- Do 1 piece of written research and finish my go game
- Finish the theory fundamentals following the ESP32 beginner tutorial
- Get a handstand and 10 pull ups
What I have achieved (will complete in 3 months):
